Meet the talented Becky Guarisco!  She's an artist and a graphic designer with a heart for all animals!  She is not only amazing what she does, but she is also one of the most lovely people I have ever been around!  Becky specializes in painting watercolor portraits of dogs, but has recently added cats (and soon horses) to her list of paintings.

She has a background in graphic design and is an assistant art director for a company here in Louisiana, but has always found time to do her own art work in her free time.  Painting and drawing have always been a part of her life and she has never imagined a life without it!

Watercolor is something that Becky has always loved due to the movement of the lines and it's ability to be abstract, without having to follow as many rules.  So when her sister's birthday rolled around, Becky painted her first watercolor portraits of her sister's four dogs.  After the reaction from her sister, other family members, and people that she didn't even know, word of mouth spread and Becky found herself wondering if maybe she was on to something!

And let me tell me you she is!

Becky's passion is evident with every stroke in each piece of work that she paints.  The imperfections of the paintings are what make them so beautiful and unique in my personal opinion.  The paint literally runs of the page and is just so beautiful!  A friend told me that she "captures the soul of the dog", and I can tell you first hand, that she does in the best way possible!  I was blown away at the way she painted my two boys and immediately when I saw them I was hit with an overwhelming amount of emotion...I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful portrayal.

It's this reaction that Becky continues to receive from her clients, friends, and family that gives her motivation and joy to keep painting.  She is very adamant about getting to know each client and a little bit about each dog before she paints them...the connection is what she loves the most.

Each painting is a blessing to Becky as well as to each person who receives a painting.  For Becky, it's fulfilling to be able to give someone the gift of a forever memory of their animal that no one else can recreate, and for the pet owner, I can tell you that it is a blessing to have your dog's personality captured so beautifully.  She gets it.

Becky has loved being able to be a part of a community of people that truly love their animals as much as she does!  She has two of her own dogs, one foster, two horses, one pot belly pig (Ms. Piggy), some chickens and a rooster!  By painting these watercolor potraits, she is able to  combine two of her biggest passions, animals and art.
