Nursery Reveal
With only 5 weeks and 5 days left until our little boy's arrival, my mom came into town last weekend to help me finish up all of the last details in the nursery. We washed tiny clothes, hung wall decor, and got everything just right for the arrival of baby boy Chatagnier. I have been so excited to show you the nursery reveal because it truly has become my favorite room in the house!
I knew from the beginning that I wanted a nursery that felt calm, he would be able to grow into, and that was rustic with a modern feel. I also knew I wanted to incorporate woodland animals, but in a sophisticated way. So, I enlisted the talents of Rebekah Guarisco (the artist who painted my pup's watercolor portraits) to create one of a kind artwork for the nursery. She painted the most beautiful and unique woodland animals that literally brought the nursery to life. Since we were on a budget, I shopped around for furniture, a friend lent us their crib, I registered for several items, and there were a few DIY projects that we did to cut on costs. I really picked what I wanted to spend money on, and where I could cut corners to still achieve the look that I wanted. I loved the idea of all different woods being present in the room, but sticking with a mostly neutral feel that had pops of a few patterns and color.
The end result is exactly how I had imagined in my head. I can't wait to bring our baby boy home from the hospital to see how he likes it. I am beyond ready to rock him, swaddle him, and tuck him in at night in his cozy room...
Now we need to name Mr. Moose, Mr. Fox, and Mr. Bear. Any suggestions?
