Pumpkin and Orange Beer Shandy
Every year I wait for fall for when I can make all things pumpkin. Everywhere I go it's pumpkin this and pumpkin that. When everything screams pumpkin, I really can't be blamed for hopping on board with this whole pumpkin palooza going on right now. When fall rolls around fall beers of all varieties are released, out comes about a bajillion kinds of pumpkin beers. And since the weather is still on the warmer side here in Texas I thought a pumpkin and orange beer shandy sounded absolutely delicious right about now!
Even though I have three more weeks until I can partake in any cocktails myself, Canean has already been taste testing for me. He found a few new pumpkin beers that he likes and so I used one of his favorites to create a refreshing and tasty fall drink that you will definitely want to make over the weekend!
It's slightly spicy from the beer, not too sweet, and would be great if you wanted to make a pitcher of it for any parties you might have for the season! But what is really great about this cocktail, is that it's perfect to make in a single serving as well!
With only three ingredients, you will be sure to love this twist on your regular weekend brew!
Ingredients:
- 1 Pumpkin Beer (whatever your favorite is will work fine)
- 1/2 Cup of Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
- 1 Tbsp. Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
Directions:
- Juice your oranges and lemons.
- Pour about half and half beer vs. citrus juice into a glass over ice.
- Garnish with fresh orange and lemon slices.
- Serve immediately.
*Recipe serves two, or one if you have a large glass! :)
If you are pumpkin obsessed too right now then raise your glass! Cheers guys!
