Frozen Strawberry Basil Mules
Man it's hottttt in Texas these days! Today, the temperature is supposed to go up to 99...and that's not even the heat index, which is almost always a good ten degrees higher than that! You simply have to be near a body of water to go outdoors, or in our case playing in a sprinkler, otherwise you can't bear the heat. The other way I am surviving this summer is by whipping up frozen cocktails and drinking them like they are water and you are totally welcome to join in on the fun too! My frozen strawberry basil mules are so easy and are absolutely necessary in getting us through the last months of this scorching heat!
I love a Moscow mule which is classically lime juice, ginger beer, and vodka only! But since strawberries are still super sweet in Texas I thought it would be fun to do a little spin on a traditional cocktail favorite! I love the herby addition of the basil which pairs perfectly with strawberries and lime in this refreshing drink!
You could also easily omit the vodka here for a yummy mocktail! Either way, you are going to want to make pitcher after pitcher of these frozen strawberry basil mules for the rest of the summer! Whatever your weekend plans are, be sure to make these drinks to help stay cool while you do it!

Whether you are sitting by a pool, or watching your kid play in the sprinkler in the backyard (hello...me) these drinks are going to make the heat just a little bit more bearable! Cheers!
