I cannot believe that summer is coming to an end and school is already back in session in some states! Here in Texas it is just starting back and I know that snacks are one of the most important things to have on hand when kiddos get home from school and are starving! Having healthy snack options ready to go and that are easy to whip up are so important in our household, because otherwise Parks will end up eating something that maybe isn't the best for him when the hangry hour hits! My easy yogurt bark is the perfect snack to keep prepared in the freezer to fill up little bellies with something that is nutritious and that tastes great too!
What I love about this yogurt bark is that it is made with simple ingredients and it can be made in less than ten minutes! My favorite yogurt to use is Horizon® organic Yogurt that comes in five different flavors of Key Lime, Strawberry, Blueberry, Raspberry, and Vanilla which means there is a flavor that every kiddo will love! Every spoonful of Horizon® organic Yogurt offers live and active cultures which is perfect for eating on it's own, adding to smoothies, or making fun new recipes out of like my yogurt bark!
I simply top the yogurt with my favorite healthy toppings and freeze it for a fun (and healthy) treat any time of the day! I made a strawberry peanut butter, blueberry granola, and a key lime pie with chia seeds yogurt bark that are all so delicious you will have a hard time not eating them all for yourself! Trust me your kids will love this delicious snack and it's a great activity for them to get involved in too!
As a mom, I want to feel confident about the ingredients I feed my child, and with Horizon® I can feel great knowing it's packed with the good stuff! Stock your fridge full of your favorite flavors of yogurt cups and have the perfect lunchbox addition or after school snack ready to go on it's own! I picked up my yogurt cups at my local Walmart right on the yogurt aisle!
Your kids are going to love this fun new addition to after school snacks and I guarantee you will be voted the best mom for making it!
