Easy Dry Rub for Ribs
We are at the beach this week, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t be planning an epic July 4th menu to cook up, including my easy rib recipe! Ribs are a must in the summertime and are one of my favorite meat items to cook up for any summer holiday! I have a delicious rub that makes the meat so full of flavor and a no fail cook method that results in tender and delicious ribs every single time! My easy dry rub for ribs is going to make your ribs the star of any holiday gathering guaranteed and you’ll never make ribs any other way again!
We love ribs in my house and I grew up in a family where my dad taught me how to grill right from the start! I have taken my dad’s favorite recipe and made it my own! Ribs are one of those meat cuts that I feel like people are intimidated to try at home, when really you can use a simple recipe and a simple method to make restaurant quality ribs right in your own kitchen! Most people think you have to grill or smoke ribs entirely in order to cook them right. But I have another method that cuts down on the amount of grill time, cooks evenly and is basically a no fail method!
Are you ready for this super easy recipe?
I cook mine in the oven about 90% of the time, covered, and then simply finish them on the grill which gives you a tender and moist rib with the flavor of the grill! Have you ever cooked ribs in the oven before? It’s so easy and I am telling you, they are almost impossible to mess up! The rib rub gives the meat so much flavor and also helps to tenderize the meat all the while infusing it with tons of flavor too! You can apply the rib rub and let the meat marinate over night or simply do it at least an hour in advance, just remember the longer the rub sits on the meat…the more flavor that gets infused! I simply rub down the ribs and ensure every inch of the meat is covered and then place into the fridge covered for the desired amount of time. When I’m ready to cook the ribs, I bring them to room temperature and then place into an oven. When the ribs are almost almost done, I finish them on the grill and then brush with a liberal amount of BBQ sauce.
It doesn’t get much easier than this method y’all, and that’s why I love this recipe so much! It’s perfect for any summer BBQ you might be hosting because it’s no stress and you can serve up your guests something delicious without having to break a sweat!

Cover ribs with foil and bake for 2 1/2 -3 hours until just tender.
Finish on the grill by heating the grill to medium high heat and charring the ribs on both sides for 2-3 minutes per side.
