Easy Grilled Shrimp
Grilled shrimp are one of my favorite seafoods to throw on the grill and with this easy grilling method you can have perfectly grilled shrimp in 5 minutes. Shrimp are a family favorite and ideal for weeknight cooking thanks to their ability to be seasoned however you like and because they can cook up so quickly too. With just a few simple seasonings and steps, you can be enjoying delicious charred to perfection shrimp any night of the week.
The most time consuming part of the process is letting your grill preheat. The actual prep and cook time for the shrimp can be done start to finish in under 15 minutes. There are just a few tips that you need to know to make grilled shrimp right at home. Here’s how to make this easy grilled shrimp recipe.
How to Grill Shrimp:
Defrost shrimp if frozen and pat dry with a paper towel.
Preheat grill to 400 degrees.
Add shrimp to a large bowl and add olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other seasonings.
Skewer the shrimp to make it easier to flip on the grill.
Cook 2-3 minutes on the first side and then flip and cook another two minutes on the other side.
Remove shrimp from the grill and serve as desired.
Can you grill shrimp with the peel on?
Yes you can! I however like to peel them and just leave the tail on to make for a pretty presentation. Plus it’s less work when it comes down to eating them.
Do I have to skewer my shrimp?
No, you definitely do not have to skewer the shrimp. This just helps prevent any shrimp from falling through the grill grates and makes it super easy to flip. You can alternatively use a vegetable grilling basket as well.
Can I play around with different marinades and seasonings?
Absolutely! This is a basic recipe that you can use different marinades and seasonings based upon what you are cooking.
What to Serve Shrimp With:
Make Grilled Greek Shrimp Bowls.
Add them to a salad.
Serve with rice and veggies.
Make tacos.
Serve with roasted potatoes.
Add them to whole grains or pastas.

Ingredients:
1 Lb. Large Peeled and Deveined Shrimp (can leave tails on or take the off)
1 Tbps. Olive Oil
1 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Black Pepper
1 Tsp. Seasoning of Choice (I used Greek Seasoning Here)
Lemon Wedges
Directions:
Add shrimp to a large bowl along with olive oil and seasonings and toss to coat.
Preheat grill to 400 degrees.
Skewer shrimp onto skewers.
Place shrimp skewers onto direct heat and cook for 2-3 minutes on the first side, and then flip and cook another 2 minutes on the second side until shrimp are just opaque and cooked through.
Remove from the grill and squeeze fresh lemon juice over top if desired.
Serve immediately.
