Grilled Pineapple Glazed Pork Chops

I cook pork chops at least a couple times a month and love creating new recipes to make them extra flavorful. Grilling is one of my favorite ways to prepare them, especially in the summertime when the weather is warm! Pineapple and pork pair so beautifully together as far as flavors go and I whipped up a delicious pineapple glaze that is going to transform your regular pork chops into what feels like a really special weeknight dinner! My grilled pineapple glazed pork chops are full of flavor, easy to whip up any night of the week, and are going to be one of your new favorite backyard BBQ recipes!

Have you ever grilled pineapple before? If not, I highly suggest it! The grilling brings out the sweetness in the pineapple and adds a bit of smokiness to the fruit! It’s delicious on it’s own, but when combined with a protein like pork, it is a dynamite combo! I made a pineapple glaze that caramelizes the pork chops and gives it a slightly sweet and savory taste that your whole family will love! I like to serve these chops simply with a veggie and rice to make a complete meal!

These pork chops will have even your picky eaters excited because there is something about that slightly sweet pineapple glaze that no one can resist! My son loves these chops so much that I might have to start adding them into our regular weeknight meal rotation! You could easily do this same recipe on a pork tenderloin, chicken, or kebabs so feel free to use what your family prefers or what you have in your fridge at the time!

Are you sold yet? Because either way, you need to light up your grill and make this recipe as soon as possible! Happy almost summer and happy grilling!

Ingredients:

  • 4, 1” Thick Bone-In Pork Chops

  • 1/2 Cup Pureed Fresh Pineapple

  • 1/4 Cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce (or coconut aminos for GF)

  • 1 Tbsp. Grated Fresh Ginger

  • 2 Finely Minced Garlic Cloves

  • 2 Tbsp. Honey

  • 1 Tbsp. Fresh Lime Juice

  • Green Onions and Cilantro for Garnish

  • 1 Tbsp. Salt

  • 1 Tsp. Black Pepper

Directions:

  • Bring pork chops to room temperature, about 20 minutes out of the fridge. This will help them to cook more evenly.

  • Preheat grill to 400 degrees.

  • In a saucepan add pineapple, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, honey, and lime juice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes until sauce thickens just slightly. Turn off heat.

  • Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.

  • Add chops to the grill and let cook over direct heat for 5 minutes and then flip to the other side and cook for another 5 minutes. Don’t flip the chops until they give easily on the grill. If they stick, you know it’s not time to flip them.

  • Brush the pork chops with a good amount of glaze and continue to cook for another minute.

  • Flip the chops and repeat the process for another minute until glaze fully coats the chops.

  • Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes so the juices redistribute throughout the meat.

  • Drizzle with leftover glaze if desired and then sprinkle with green onions and cilantro and serve immediately.

Note: Adjust cook time depending on the thickness of your pork chops or protein used.

You can’t beat the easiness of these grilled pineapple glazed pork chops and they are so yummy too! Pin this recipe to save for grilling all summer long!
