My Diary of Us Kitchen Reveal!
Y’all! It’s finally here! I am so excited to get to share with you the full kitchen remodel. My favorite place to be is in the kitchen and it feels like a dream to get to have this one as my own. It’s where all of the recipe testing, photography, filming, and magic happens for My Diary of Us and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. A few months of chaos, cooking on a single burner in my foyer, and washing dishes in my powder room was totally worth it to get my dream kitchen! This kitchen is where Parks will grow up learning to cook, love food like his mama, and where our family will make the most memories. The kitchen is the heart of the home, and I am completely in love with this one!
And before we get into the full reveal, let’s take a look at what the kitchen looked like when we bought the house last October, as well as the temporary update we did while we waited on the full remodel, which was basically removing exposed hinges, and painting the backsplash white.
And now for the AFTER!
I just love how it turned out. It’s clean and bright, modern with a touch of rustic, just how I envisioned it!
I will be linking all of my appliances because I was lucky enough to work with ZLINE appliances on this remodel and I couldn’t be happier with not only the way they look, but also the functionality of them all! All of the appliances are amazing, but I am especially obsessed with my range! Some of the features that make it amazing are that is has a three layer glass oven keeping it cool to the touch which is great when you have kiddos in the house. It also has stay-put hinges on the door, an easy to clean porcelain cooktop, 6 burners with cooking power from 4,200 to 18,00 BTU’s, gorgeous Italian burners, is classic stainless steel, and has adjustable legs.
To compliment the range, this sleek range hood comes with dishwasher safe baffle filters, LED lighting, high performance 4-speed motor with speeds up to 400 CFM, 430 grade, is stainless steel and has a lifetime warranty motor.
Look at this gorgeous sink! For someone that has LOTS of dishes on the regular, the sink was super important to me. This one has a utility rack, basket strainer, is cUPC certified ensuring materials used are durable and lead-free, is made of industrial grade rust-resistant stainless steel, has a high capacity bowl/basins (hello room for lots of dishes), cCCeased accent lines, and basin sloping providing more usable space.
The faucet has a unique twisting lattice spray with a high pressure anti-splash, multi-directional spray, comes installation ready with lock in technology, is cUPC certified, and has a Ceramic disc faucet for easy use, and is ADA compliant. They are both a dream!
Every kitchen needs a great dishwasher too and this Zline one is amazing. The gorgeous dishwasher fits 20 place settings including: large and small plates, salad bowls, serving bowls, silverware and more. It also has a multi-filter system technology which hosts three mesh filers to separate soiled and clean water into separate containers, and is also energy star compliant and runs like a dream.
I was super pumped to move the microwave into the oven and this one is a beauty. The microwave is truly effortless with it’s open and close door with the touch of a button. It has an easily accessible touch screen menu with defrost settings, 1,000 watt cooking power, and 11 different power levels.
I can’t say enough about ZLINE and their appliances. So far, I am completely in love and will be a ZLINE customer again and again. Check out the details below!

The last addition we updated, was making a space that was being wasted into a wet bar/wine bar area! I could not be happier with how it turned out. The bison head, whose name is Lolita, was the inspiration behind the bar. I inherited it from my late Aunt Jeana after she passed last year. She had him mounted in her kitchen in Montana so I knew I had to incorporate him into mine as well! My aunt was an amazing kitchen designer and I definitely wanted to make her proud in mine. She loved a good glass of wine or whiskey so I knew she would approve of this whole cocktail area situation.
There she is y’all, in all her glory! I am so excited to keep sharing my love of food and family with y’all in this new space and thanks for bearing with me over the past couple of months while recipe development was a little less than consistent due to this remodel! Cheers!
