Strawberry and Peach Smoothie

Strawberry and Peach Smoothie

Smoothies are one of those things that we tend to make more of in the summer months. When it’s hot outside, sometimes all you want is something cold and nourishing. I love that I can pack my smoothies with good for you ingredients and that they always taste delicious too. I tend to use fruit that is in season and buy it in bulk and then freeze some of it when it gets perfectly ripe and sweet. Peaches are particularly great for this because they ripen so quickly. This recipe for my strawberry and peach smoothie tastes like a milkshake, I kid you not, and you are going to love making it all summer long!

You of course could use all strawberries or all peaches here, but I happen to love the combo of the two. With a little vanilla extract added, this smoothie truly tastes like a milkshake and kiddos and adults alike will be happy to drink it right up. I tend to like my smoothies on the thicker side, but of course if you like a thinner smoothie, simply add less fruit or add more liquid here. You can also add in some frozen cauliflower if you want to add a veggie into the mix, but even without the vegetables, it’s still a super healthy smoothie.

Feel free to add in your favorite protein powder here, nut butter, or any other of your favorite smoothie add ins to amp up the nutritional value even more! This smoothie is great for an easy breakfast, post workout recovery, or an afternoon snack. My family loves this recipe so much and my son calls it his strawberry milkshake. It really is so delicious. One thing is for sure, whenever you decide to make it, you are going to love it as much as we do.
