Welcome to My Diary of Us! I’m Leigh Ann and here are a few tidbits about me:
I grew up in Tennessee.
I fell in love with a Cajun man and it changed my life’s path and led to me writing my first cookbook, Modern Cajun Cooking, where I combine my style of cooking with some of the recipes I fell in love with while living in Louisiana.
I am a mom to a beautiful little boy named Parks and knew I wanted to instill my passion for fresh and healthy food into him right from the start. This passion led to me writing my second cookbook, Natural Baby and Toddler Treats, which is a guide to feeding your kiddos recipes that will create healthy and adventurous eaters in the future.
I believe anyone can learn to cook fresh and healthy recipes that the whole family can enjoy. Don’t believe me? Stick around and I will teach you!
Random fact: I interned at Seventeen Magazine and lived in NYC my last semester of college and had dreams of being a fashion editor. Obviously, those dreams evolved into something even better than I could have imagined.
My love of cooking came from being in the kitchen with my mom from an early age.
I later fell in love with creating my own recipes as I moved away from home and started experimenting on my own in the kitchen.
I created My Diary of Us because I wanted to share my recipes with more people and help more at home cooks feel confident in the kitchen.
My Diary of Us is the diary of my family through food as well as your family through food. It’s a place for us to share life and all of it’s moments, which happens to include some seriously yummy recipes!
To me, there is nothing better than seeing people enjoy the food I create. It truly bring so much joy to my heart.
Thank you for being here, and I hope you will stay a while!
