There is a cool front that has rolled through town this week and I couldn't be more excited about crisp mornings and the ability to leave my windows open all day.  This has to be my favorite time of year because I get to break out my cozy sweaters, the holidays aren't far away, and an afternoon cup of coffee is always welcomed.  Because I work from home, I am not always able to get to a coffee shop when I want the perfect latte, so luckily for me International Delight® One Touch Latte'™ makes creating the perfect latte at home a no brainer in just three easy steps!  I took it a step further and created a caramel latte pumpkin affogato that is everything I love about fall into one mug!

You may be thinking it's too good to be true that you could make the perfect latte at home without special equipment, but with One Touch Latte'™ all it takes is three easy steps!   Fill cup 2/3 with coffee to leave room for froth.  Shake the One Touch Latte'™ can.  Press and hold the can above coffee to cream to desired sweetness and enjoy!  Doesn't get any easier than that!  How perfect would this be during the holiday season when you are entertaining your holiday guests?  Basically a built in barista in your refrigerator!  (Yes please!)  I stocked my fridge by grabbing the Caramel and Vanilla flavors in the creamer section at my local Walmart!

As if One Touch Latte'™ isn't delicious enough on it's own, I like to whip up a batch of my pumpkin ice cream and make a latte affogato by combining the two, creating the ultimate coffee drink or dessert!  A traditional affogato is ice cream that has a little espresso poured over top, so I thought why can't you do the same thing with a latte?   Simply use your favorite coffee, press the One Touch Latte'™ hard for for a frothy latte and then drop a scoop or two of pumpkin ice cream in the mug to create the perfect after dinner coffee treat!

Ingredients:

For the Latte-

• 2/3 Cup of Coffee
• Caramel International Delight® One Touch Latte'™

For the Pumpkin Ice Cream-

• 1 Cup Pumpkin Puree
• 2 Cups Whole Milk
• 2 Cups Heavy Cream
• 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
• 1 Tsp. Vanilla
• 1 Tbsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
• 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
• Pinch of Salt

Directions:

Step 1: Fill Mugs 2/3 full with coffee.

Step 2: Shake the One Touch Latte'™.

Step 3: Press firmly and down into the coffee and using a swirling motion create desired froth and sweetness.

For the Ice Cream-

• Combine milk, vanilla, and sugar into a saucepan and heat over medium heat until sugar has dissolved.
• Whisk in pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, and cinnamon until all is combined and smooth.
• Pour heavy cream into a large bowl and then pour warm pumpkin ice cream base into the heavy cream and stir to combine.
• Place into the refrigerator for two hours to chill completely.
• After ice cream base has chilled, add it to the ice cream maker and churn for about 30 minutes until it's at a soft serve consistency.
• Freeze for 4 hour or up to overnight.
• Add a scoop or two of ice cream to the caramel latte and enjoy!
