This post is sponsored by Winter Sweetz, but all opinions are 100% my own.
For a twist on the classic aperol spritz, I have created a seasonal recipe using my favorite Winter Sweetz Texas Ripened Red Grapefruits. Grapefruit is the perfect citrus to add into the ingredients of this cocktail for a bright citrus flavor addition. This cocktail is the perfect aperitif to serve up before any meal or to enjoy on a sunny day. This recipe for my grapefruit aperol spritz is truly so refreshing and delicious and you are going to love how easy it is to make as well.
Traditionally, an aperol spritz is served with an orange slice as a garnish, but we are not only switching the garnish to a grapefruit slice, but we are also adding in some fresh Winter Sweetz grapefruit juice that we hand squeeze right before adding into the drink for the ultimate freshness. This cocktail is made up of very few ingredients which is why I love using Winter Sweetz Texas Ripened Red Grapefruits in this recipe because they are so sweet, in peak season, and the color is absolutely stunning.
If you have never tasted aperol before, it has a citrusy undertone with a slight bitterness which pairs so well with the floral notes of prosecco and the beautifully sweet grapefruits. The combo is just perfect to sip on before enjoying a nice meal. I cannot wait for you to give this one a try for yourself. Dare I say I prefer this version of an aperol spritz to the original? Itβs just that good!
