We have taco night at least once a week and I am all about easy recipes that mean enjoying a delicious taco in under 30 minutes. Using ground chicken is great to use as the base for any taco, and I have the best recipe that your whole family will love. This recipe is great for taco salads, regular tacos, or even a taco bowl! Add your favorite toppings and dinner is done. This recipe for ground chicken tacos is one that you are going to want to make over and over again.
I have used this recipe with ground pork, turkey, and ground beef as well so feel free to use whatever protein you might have on hand! Ground meat is such a great freezer staple because of it’s versatility and it’s quick cook time. Ground chicken is super lean, making this recipe light but yet full of flavor from the homemade taco seasoning that I use.
I typically use soft flour taco shells, but feel free to use corn or hard shells also. I love topping these tacos with shredded lettuce, smashed avocado, jalapeños, cilantro, and raw onion. You could also add in cheese, pickled onions, and salsa or pico de gallo if you wanted to also. Just use what your family loves and what you have on hand during the week. These tacos are also great served alongside some cilantro lime rice or black beans. Easy and delicious!
You are going to love having this recipe to cook up on even the busiest of weeknights!
Enjoy!
