A gin and tonics is a classic cocktail that I like to give a festive spin on for the holidays with pomegranate and rosemary. This fun holiday cocktail is easy to make and is so pretty to serve at any gathering you might be attending or hosting over the month. The color of this cocktail alone is reason enough to make this delicious holiday version of a gin and tonic and it truly requires minimal effort which is something we all want during the holiday season. This recipe for a pomegranate rosemary gin and tonic will surely become a favorite drink to serve up every holiday season.
The key to this simple and classic cocktail is to use good quality gin and tonic water. Because of the simplicity of the cocktail, quality ingredients truly make the difference here. Along with the gin and tonic, I add pomegranate juice and fresh rosemary that gets muddled to release a subtle rosemary flavor through the drink that really pairs well with the gin’s flavor. It’s just so delicious and I love that this cocktail can be ready in under 5 minutes making it ideal for whipping up for guests at any party.
Can I make a large batch?
While you can’t make a large batch of this cocktail, you can go ahead and mix the gin with the pomegranate juice and rosemary and then simply pour over ice and add tonic water for each individual you are serving.
What if I don’t like gin?
While it will no longer be a gin and tonic, you can substitute vodka here if you aren’t a fan of gin.
What would be a good substitute for pomegranate juice?
Cranberry juice would also work well in this cocktail.
I love serving this pomegranate rosemary gin and tonic in festive glasses and garnishing them with rosemary sprigs and fresh pomegranate seeds. It is so beautiful and so delicious too.

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Pomegranate Juice
2 Rosemary Sprigs
4 Oz. Gin
Tonic Water
Ice
Directions:
Add 1 rosemary sprig to a cocktail shaker and then pour 1/4 Cup pomegranate juice over top.
Bruise the rosemary to release the flavors into the pomegranate juice by using a cocktail muddler or the back of a wooden spoon.
Add 2 oz of gin to the cocktail shaker and then add ice and shake to combine flavors and chill.
Fill a glass with ice and pour the mixture over top and then top off with tonic water.
Gently stir to combine, but do it carefully so you do not lose the carbonation.
Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and pomegranate seeds.
Repeat the process for another cocktail.
