I for one cannot get enough of summer fruit right now, especially peaches, and love using them in savory recipes as well. I partnered with my friends at Tony Chachere’s to bring you a summer recipe that is great for entertaining, but simple enough for any night of the week. When it’s too hot to turn on the oven, I rely on my grill to do the heavy lifting. That’s why I created this recipe for grilled Sweet Heat Pork and Peach Kabobs using Tony Chachere’s Pork Marinade. The flavors pair perfectly together and you are going to love grilling up these kabobs all summer long.
Have you ever grilled fruit before? Grilling it really brings out the sweetness of the fruit and adds a smokiness that is just so delicious. Peaches and pork go so well together that when the peaches combine with tender marinated pork, it really makes for the ultimate flavor combination. I love Tony Chachere’s marinades because they not only tenderize the meat, but they also add so much flavor, making it super simple on me to make a delicious meal. This pork marinade has both sweet and savory flavors with just a touch of spice that we all love so much and really makes these kabobs pop!
I marinate the pork for at least 30 minutes, although overnight is even better, and skewer the pork pieces with red onion and peach slices to create an easy dinner the whole family can enjoy. I do recommend using a more firm peach in this recipe so that they don’t get too soft on the grill, and keeping the pork pieces uniform in size for even cooking time. Serve these kabobs with a side salad or even over rice and dinner is done and done.
Ingredients:
4 Boneless Thick Cut Pork Chops (about 1.5 lbs)
1 Bottle Tony Chachere’s Pork Marinade
4 Yellow Peaches
1 Red Onion
1 Tbsp. Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning
2 Tbsp. Finely Chopped Parsley
2 Tbsp. Avocado or Olive Oil
Directions:
Slice Pork into one inch cubes and place into a plastic zip bag and pour 1/2 of the Tony Chachere’s Pork Marinade over top and let marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator, or up to overnight for even more intense flavor.
Preheat grill to 400 degrees.
Slice peaches into slices, removing the pit.
Remove onion skin and slice into one inch chunks, keeping them around the same size as the pork.
Skewer the pork, peaches, and onion, alternating until skewer is full.
Repeat the process and then brush the kabobs with a little oil to prevent sticking on the grill.
Place onto the preheated grill and grill for 6-7 per side until pork has cooked through.
The last few minutes of cooking, brush a little extra of the pork marinade over the pork to give it extra flavor.
Remove from the grill and sprinkle with parsley.
Serve immediately.
How good do these sweet heat pork and peach kabobs look? Fire up the grill and make this recipe the next time you want an easy and delicious dinner!
