We spent the weekend baking batch after batch of cookies and although it was so much fun and we were making such special memories, I feel like I could use a salad in my life this week! I actually love a salad at this time of year and incorporating seasonal ingredients like butternut squash, apples and pears, spiced nuts, and a good cheese! I think the key to a good winter salad is to have lots of textures, substance, and flavor! You can of course always pair any of these with a soup, but they are delicious and heart enough on their own!
